Pipe Specific FDA Petition?

Does anyone know if there's a pipe specific FDA petition?
I've heard a ton about cigar and vape petitions. Those industries have seemed to jump on this pretty quickly. Haven't heard much if anything from the pipe front though. I'm sure things are being done for the pipe world, but if we can help by signing a petition or something we'd all love to I'm sure. Just let us know where to sign.

Good idea. Might want to wait until after June 10 when the cigar petition closes, so that there is constant interest not parallel interest.

Pipes are maybe 10% the size of the cigar population. And, to the general population, we are fly poop by comparison. What difference does it make? Tie yourself to the cigar guys. They are scarier anyways, because cigar guys can crack bones with their jaws and drag women about by the hair. Pipe guys usually end up reading books or playing chess. If I had to crack some heads, I'd turn to the cigar guys first. If I had to ask for help on my business strategy or something that involved thinking... pipe guys. Capiche?

I'm with Cosmic on this. Einstein was a pipe smoker. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a cigar smoker.

Usually when a skull cracker is found smoking a pipe, it's because they are either too poor or too smart to pay $7-15 a stick to smoke. That is either a 50% chance they don't work hard or a 50% chance that they have a smidge of an IQ in them that raises them a notch above the neanderthal gene pool. :: Ha ha!

It is, but some pipe guys get all edgy when the legislation has cigar on it instead of pipes. The cigar guys can't read it anyways, so it doesn't make a difference to them, and the pipe guys tend to overthink. :wink:

Ha ha, just look at our blenders Russ, Greg, and Mike. Then look at the guys who dredge into the rainforests of Central America, crack the spines of a few gángsters, bribe a few burócrata, shoot an attacking jaguar, and then do business with the cartel to bring us boxes of delisciosa cigar handmade by women in human bondage chained to sweat soaked chairs in the jungles.
I love our pipe tobacco blenders, but... when it all hits the fan, I want a well armed group of cigar guys around me.

That’s why I’m fighting with the knuckle dragging, head bashing cigar guy’s, of which I’m also one. As for not being able to read I think my problem stems from slowly going blind at the age of 12 when I first started to... oh, never mind.

I would assume the cigar industry is only out for their cigars. I'd venture to say they couldn't care less about pipe tobacco. I can see why too, it'd be easier to convince the FDA to just save premium cigars than to add in pipe tobacco as well.
I'm all for coming together with the cigar and vape industries to fight this on a united front. The more voices the better likelihood it is to be heard. I also think the pipe community needs to look out for itself to make sure we don't get swallowed up or lost in this.

The pipe 'community' amounts to nothing more than a pimple on a gnats ass which is exactly the reason why cigar and pipe smokers need to stick together on this issue as we’re all in the same sinking boat. If only those who were pipe smokers tried to stand up to this FDA regulation it would be akin to trying to bail out the Titanic while it was sinking with nothing more than a thimble.
