I going to be in and around Zürich Switzerland for a a few days this summer and I’m looking for recommendations re pipe shops and tobacconists in the area that I should visit. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know why but that title sounds like the title of a book. Kind of a portrait as young man kind of fluffed up biography.
You might go to Peter Roman. He sells pipe tobacco but is also a highly regarded pipe maker 20 minutes from Zurich:
Wagner-Tobak-Ladell is another shop, located at Storchengasse 19, 8001 Zürich. They sell tobacco and specialize in high-end carvers, e.g., Jess Chonowitsch, Lars Ivarsson, Cornelius Maenz.

Wagner is probably your best choice in Zurich, there is a Davidoff shop at the top of Bahnhofstrasse but I’ve not been in there in years so can’t vouch for what they have in stock.

Please tell us what is the situation in Zurich since my wife goes there in November.
