I fly to Tuscany soon to spend a few days in Siena before spending some time in rural Tuscany. Does anyone have any recommendations for pipe or tobacco shops in Siena itself, or nearby? We fly into Pisa so I might be able to spend some time there too.

Try Il Chiasso Largo in Siena. One whole side of my family is from nearby there and I visit often. They are more of a cigar store but have a few pipes and some tins.

I would suggest bringing your own however just in case. Last time I was in Florence, Savinelli shop was closed for no apparent reason. Maybe holiday. Castellana Giovanni and Savinelli are good bets if you are there first.

Must easier to just fly with your own but if you are looking for the shop experience locals on here would know best.

Thank you! Looks like they have some nice stuff in stock - I'll check it out.

Thank you again for this recommendation. I picked up a Castello 55 and some tobacco. The chap in the shop was lovely and helpful. He did say that these Toscano pipe tobaccos are being discontinued, which will be very sad if it is the case. Forte and Comune go back over 100 years apparently. Golf is a blend that used to be produced by Savinelli. IMG20250418143737.jpg

Glad to be of help. Sad to hear about the discontinuation of those blends. That Castello looks quite nice!
