ok so still being new to this whole deal, i've got a few basic info questions. one was about all the abreviated terminology used here on the forums, but i found somebody else's post all about that, the other one i had was about basic pipe shapes, i've picked up a few of the common ones: billiard, apple, bulldog, rhodesian etc. but i was wondering if any body has a good chart of typical styles with pictures, or if you guys could maybe upload some of your own.
this will just totally help me feel like i sorta know what i'm talking about

i just bought a new pipe though and i'm not a hundred percent sure on what to even call it. i don't have pictures of mine specifically (no camera) but it's this shape http://www.pipe-shop.net/Shop/cgi-bin/his-webshop.cgi?f=NR&c=db2009_tr&t=tobacco_pipe

actually mine doesn't have the diamond shank, but it's made by the same company, it's an unmarked second i think, but this shape seems to be fairly common in the design berlin arsenal. but i've never seen anybody else make anything like it, so i don't know what to call it

I love the partial rustic blasting...it really is striking and plays off the smooth portions of the pipe.
Really beautiful!

I do have mostly classic shapes, those are the ones I like most. I began with more unusual ones, but honestly I can't get tired of the classic Pot, Billard, Apple, Lovat...
