I'm fairly new to pipe smoking and don't know much about the buffering shapes of pipes or the differences between them. Looking through some of the forum post I was a bit overwhelmed by all the different lingo that was being thrown around. So any info you guys could give me would be great, I'm always looking to learn something new. Thanks guys

I'm still struggling to understand the difference between the Rhodesian and the Bulldog. I've seen Bulldogs labeled as Rhodesians even though they have the diamond shank. Thoughts, anyone? An example:

That is definitely a Rhodesian. A bull dog is a much shorter bowl height. Here is a classic bull dog, notice the height of the bowl.
