Hello,

I was looking and thinking of getting a pipe pouch. One that keeps standing out to me is the single pipe Claudio Albieri pouch (the one that rolls up) Is that one that anyone here has any experience with or has heard about? Since I can't go to the store to try it out myself, I am wondering how roomy it is and how durable the leather would be. It looks amazing, but I want something that will really hold up in case of rain, mishandling, etc.

Thanks!

It looks really nice, never had one. I got one from Frank at sorringowlandsons (craftsman on Etsy that custom makes them) a year ago and since you are just a hair north of his price range, but in the ballpark, I figure it is worth mentioning. I left in in the glove box of my Jeep, lol (just use the many inside pockets of my down vest on the weekend) and can take some pics if you like. It's his "signature", has a nice Pendleton wool lining on the pipe side, is large enough to actually hold two pipes but I'll bet not much larger than the one you have pictured. There is more useable space, i.e, one whole side is the pouch for pipe(s) and the other is big enough to hold plenty of tobacco (I put it in a little bag like the ones Wilke sends two ounce orders in and slip that in the pouch, but wouldn't have to). What I really like is the leather I picked is nice and grainy and buttery soft so it folds and rolls in a nice, floppy kind of way, which is just what I wanted. High quality but Just another option.

Here are some pics. As I said, I tend to just shove things in my vest because I'm usually out walking, but if I take a pipe in the Jeep on a work day, I'll pack a little bedroll and it keeps things organized and not flying all over the place. So kind of a luxury item, but it's darn nice and functional.
