Pipe Makers do you coat your bowls?

Hey Guys I was wondering if you coat your bowls with anything. I've heard some people use honey, some use a mix of honey, water, and wood ash, some use olive oil. What do you use if anything and what are your results? I am specifically talking to guys working with virgin unsmoked briar. And I am not asking about cake build up specifically, just wondering if you do anything to the inside of the bowl before sending them out.

When I get a brand new brier... I pack it all the way to the top with tobacco and smoke it

When I make a new pipe, I coat the chamber with honey before the first bowl.

For my own pipes that I make and keep I have both kept them bare and coated some with honey. I always leave them bare for te pipes I sell, although thatay change at some point with some.
