Our featured interview on The Pipes Magazine Radio Show tonight is with pipe maker Ron Smith. Ron is originally from Chicago, and now hails from Tennessee. He has been a lawyer, social worker, counselor, and more. He has been making pipes for four years. In Pipe Parts, we will hear about Brian's favorite things when it comes to accessories, such as lighters, tampers, and pipe cleaners.

To the pipe parts section, I'm pretty monogamous to flame, cleaner, and tamper. I'm admittedly pretentious with my unwavering use of an IM Corona Old Boy lighter. For pipe cleaners, it's ONLY the Brigham ones. As for tampers I have an 8Deco that I bought, oh probably 5 or 6 years ago that I use daily. I really like that the 8Deco has a carrying case for it, so I can slip it in that case and put it in my pocket without worrying about getting ash everywhere.
Another great interview, even though Ron used to be a lawyer. Always fun to hear the stories from pipe people. Best of luck to Ron with the carving.
