Pipe Identification Stamps

Hi All

Picked up a very chunky church warden type pipe today. Has a metal band with stamps. A diamond with an EP inside and also 3 letters which are in a roman numeral style of text, ULM or YLM. Anybody able ro identify or help?

The EP in a diamond is an aftermarket make that is used on a lot of pipes from different makers. The hallmarks are faux hallmarks. Are there any other stamping or markings on this pipe? Pictures would help.

Any other nomenclature on the pipe or stem besides the band? EP doesn't have anything to do with a specific maker. It stands for electroplate. The hallmarks are faux (fake) hallmarks. If there isn't anything more, such as a stem logo or other stamping, I doubt that the specific maker can be identified.

There is a horseshoe stamp and a made in france stamp. Thats it.

Oldenkott used a horseshoe mark on their Derby line of pipes but they were a German maker I believe.
