Discussion moved, as it centers around the cheroot holder. Please give another shot at an introduction!

Greetings everybody! I live in sunny and hot Phoenix Arizona! I love different tobacco pipes of all sorts, as you can see like this one! Does anybody know what kind of pipe this ugly thing is? It seems like it might be Asian origin in my opinion. Also think it might be made of clay or porcelain. Any information would be appreciated!

Thank you! The cannon does make it interesting! I was thinking maybe Asian because I can't make out the characters on there, they look somewhat Asian but they could just be very worn and be English.

Interesting pipe. Thanks @daveinlax for the identification. I had no idea that charoots even existed before today. I am from South Central Wisconsin and am not quite rich or old enough to have an AZ address.

I used to own a cheroot holder that was bent like that but mine was in the shape a horse. Sorry I have nothing else to add other then yes they can come bent.

Gosh that's ugly. It's origins may be in the material. The canon image is sort of upside down, and the cheroot holder or bowl (if it's a pipe) has no sensible relation to the canon image. Oh well. It's a fun puzzle.

The canon looks more like a European or new world artillery piece, so maybe it is Mexican, Central or South American.

It looks hand made more than factory made, crafted for the souvenir trade.
