Ok so i order a new pipe from pipe and cigar and say what the hell lets try their sampler of english bulk it contained 5 of their bulk house blends light english med english majestic english african queen and byzantium

to be honest i have not triede all 5 yet but out of the 3 i have tried the african queen the majestic and med blends i have been dissapointed i thought they would be heavy to at least bold with the excption of the light and med. on the plus side the african queen did have somewhat of a plesant room note the wife did not mind the smell of this english blend. i had to ask my self would i spend money on these blends again and i think i will buy a couple oz of each and jar it up for times i find my self at a party or a bar where the smell of my everyday english blend is offencive to most people. or when i just want something lighter

I've got a tin of Blackhouse sitting 2ft. away from me... I refuse to open it until I finish all the stuff I still have in ziplock baggies!!!! It's slowly killing me inside.

Larrys Blend for sure RO hit a homerun with this one . Named after a guy named Larry. Ever met a guy named Larry you did not like ?

I tried the sampler last year when I was just getting into pipe smoking and didn't care for any of them. After smoking cigars for years, they tasted like air.

I think you got Altadis blends, not Hearth & Home. I just did some of those myself.
I though Majestic was pretty good. African Queen was tasty but very light to non-existent on the lat. Byzantium I thought was excellent it's definitely a repeat for me.

I also tried Heavy English - thumbs down, no Orientals to speak of - Balkan I, Balkan II, and Burma Road. Balkan I was decent, Balkan II excellent, and I ordered 4 more ounces of Burma Road. That's going to be a staple in my "first pipe of the day" lineup. :puffy:

Maybe I'll have to try them again now that my palate is more acclamated to the pipeweed.

I think Jud is right, those are Altadis blends. Among the Hearth and Home buld blends, I can recommend Victorian Stroll for a light English, Sunjammer for a medium English (and probably my favorite of the group), and Ten to Midnight and Larry's Blend for full English/Balkan blends.
