Are there any suggestions out there as to how repair a hole in a bowl which is either a burn through or has been drilled to close to the wall? I have cut a tiny hardwood plug that just fits the hole, but I am unsure as to what adheseve I might use that will stand up to the heat it may be exposed to. After afixing the plug, I intend to put a screen into the bottom of the bowl, isolating the area of repair with any future direct contact with tobacco that is burning. Any adhesive or epoxy material out there that someone recommends?

Help  :crying:

JB Weld. It's good for 600 degrees, although I used Gorilla brand epoxy to install a briar plug in a Nording. The only reason I didn't use JB Weld is the fact that the alcohol in stains will turn it green!

Thank you so much Mr. James. I was thinking about JB Weld,

as it had served me well in other situations. I had forgotten

about it being heat resistant up to 600 degrees F. The Gorilla

brand epoxy should work well also. Since none of the adheseve

will show on the outside of the bowl in this repair I will try

the JB I have on hand.

Thank you again Sir.
