Wife and I would like everyone to meet "Lucy". She is a 3 year old Quaker Parrot. She laughs, says a few words and does a "I'm Sexy and I Know It", hair whip and head toss, while whistling.

Lol, Ya mate, they were introduced. BoBo slapped the cage with his paws and the bottom of the cage is 3.5 feet off the floor. He is now laying on his table by the open, screened in window so he is getting used to the Parrot. Tomorrow we take her to the pet shop to make sure her wings are clipped, then we can let her out of her cage. We will put BoBo in another room for a bit first tho.

The experts tell me that Parrots are quite offensive and will bite a cat hard. Usually takes one snap on the nose and the cat will get along with it or ignore it. Took it out tonite for half an hour and it bit us a few times, it was nervous but settled down quite well. Tomorrow it goes to have its wings clipped cause it can FLY like a kite in the house. But once settled down, it will sit on shoulder and arm quietly.

We have a Green Cheek Conure, Stevie. Watch how they clip his wings, it is pretty simple and easy to do every few months. DON'T neglect this..... Our bird sits on the patio with us every warm evening, on his perch or cage. A few weeks into April, when he hadn't been out a lot yet, we had a nice warm afternoon. I took Stevie, a pipe and the newspaper to the porch. I lit my pipe, opened the paper and watched Stevie fly from one end of the open patio out the other end and out of sight. I dropped everything and ran. I whistle and he mimics back and sure enough I heard a faint whistle. He was on the very top of our neighbors Cape Cod, with one heck of a roof pitch. It was pretty comical (now) getting him down and very nerve wracking at the time.
Here's a shot of us enjoying my GBD Ooom-Paul, he loves the Perspex stems for some reason but pays no mind to black vulcanite.

Great pic Al, thanks mate. Funny thing is, we were close to buying an 8 month old Green Cheeked Conure, but chose the Quacker due to talking capabilities and social activity. The Green Cheek was $300.00 cage included and the Quacker was $350.00 cage included. We talked the lady down from $475.00

I had a gold finch and a cat as a kid. Both slept in my room. Neither of them ended up as a snack. Although the cat came too close to the dog a couple of times ;-)

Awesome addition! I am a huge animal fan. I breed reptiles, not into birds yet and I hope that I dont branch out anytime soon. My girl would kill me if I started up another hobby! Great lookin bird though!

He just looks at the smoke curling out of the bowl and up the stem. Most of the time he just sits on my shoulder, but that pipe intrigues him, I guess the Perspex?
That is a a heck of a deal on the bird/cage!
We have no cats but he rides a around a good bit on our dog, who doesn't seem to mind the rider. We love this time of the year in Maryland, he gets to spend a good bit of time outdoors on the patio, working with me in the yard, etc. Sat him on our light pole last night while trimming the ivy on the front walk.
