I've got a road trip coming up, and needed a few pipes to take with me. Of course, I had to try 'em first! Why didn't anyone tell me corn cobs were so badass!?! Missouri Meers are great smokers, and I see way more in my future... I've actually smoked more bowls today than I've smoked in a single day before, I'm sure my taste won't be up to par for a few days!

Which ones did you get. I have a Country Gentleman that I really like and a General that is a little too big for me to handle right now. Hoping I grow into it.

I got a straight billiard and a slightly bent one the shape of which escapes me... Maybe an acorn? The didn't have specific names on them in the shop...

I was late to the party on MM cobs, too. Outstanding little pipes. Wouldn't travel without one, great on the tractor, sitting around a campfire with friends, or sitting on the porch.
You might want to look into Falcon pipes as another traveler. Pick up 2-3 extra bowls and you're set. My travel case has one MM Cob Diplomat and one Falcon with 3 bowls.
I have heard (don't personally know) the estate Falcons were chromed a little better than the new. I own 6 of them (all estates) and the clean up, sterilization was easy. I'll admit that I have my eye on a new black, bent Falcon.

I have four MM cobs, three with Forever stems, and one I left filtered that has a softie on the bit.

I'm looking forward to getting an Old Dominion with a bamboo stem at my nearest pipe show next

month. Forums members have long enthused and admired Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipes,

for their light weight, great smoking characteristics, portability, and low price. I started a post where

members listed all their vast virtues. Any pipe smoker who skips Missouri Meerschaums is missing

something important in the American pipe smoking universe.

Love my cobs, but don't overlook the Old Dominion cobs. They're made from a special heirloom variety of corn that has been growing on Virginia's Eastern shore since the 1840s and have a unique--and I would say--truly magical taste.

You may remove corns with a single edged razor blade. Just slice off a little at a time so you do not cut your toes.
