Picked This Up Off Side Of The Road

Just wanted to show off my sweet "road trash" find the other day. I don't normally go looking for stuff like this, but on my way home from work I slammed the brakes on when I saw it gleaming in the sunshine. A Weber gas BBQ! I always drool over these at the hardware stores and have always wanted one, but always end up walking out with a cheapie. After giving it a major degreasing and scrub today and hosed it out, it is in great shape and fired up like a champ! (My old one is on the left) I call this a legendary upgrade. FREE!! "One man's trash is another man's gold"

That's awesome. Weber are the best. I guess some people are too lazy to clean one up and would rather buy a new one. Those aren't cheap. Great find.

Excellent! Looks like the exact same model I just cooked burgers on a half hour ago. Only yours is much cleaner than mine.

And I like the propane tank inside better.

That is a fine grill, well done. I have one of those and an MHP that had it's innards rust out over the years so my son and I converted it to wood burning. The Weber had lasted a decade. Good luck!

I've seen lots of stuff out on the curb as people get bored and begin even more vigorous spring cleaning. My standards to stop have increased as well, though. That there looks like a great score.

I had to borrow the gas hose from the old bbq because the Weber didn't have anything on it. They must have had it connected directly to their furnace propane tanks. Id like it on the inside too ?

Yeah, it is a little different from what I'm use to, but I think I can live with it. Even with the controls there, there is more space on the end table than on my old one, lol

Nice! Webers are awesome, gas or charcoal, and to find one in decent shape on the side of the road is a hellova find!
