I'm still figuring out the new camera, as well as sizing photos on this web site. Here are the results of today's experiments:

I'm going to say that the outside pics were of a greater quality even though it looks a little cloudy.
Wait for the sun to come up again and shoot some more. :puffy:

The inside pictures were taken quickly a few days ago to show to a potential buyer. I've been taking some more indoor shots today because you're right, it IS overcast (and getting cloudier). Will post soon.

Here's the last one for the day. It's starting to rain and I'm headed to my local B&M for a smoke with the guys.
This is a "Panel Dog" by Joe Nelson of Old Nellie Pipes. It was his entry into last year's pipe making competition at the KC Pipe Show. Entrants were asked to make a pipe with at least one flat side and Joe went a bit overboard. There are 24 panels in the bead alone!

Great job with the photos bigvan. And I have to agree with toker the Crosby Wasp is awesome. Reminds me of the Nanna Ivarsson design Stanwells I've had my eye on for a while.
All the great photography really makes this forum shine.

"Clouds are, for the most part, a photographers friend...nice soft lighting...eliminates harsh, distracting shadows."
Absolutely. Unless you're at the beach and need to relate tropics, nothing beats overcast for great photography.
And, beautiful collection of pipes, by the way!

Love the Joe Nelson Panel Dog and the Ashton Quaint. Very nice collection and pretty good photography skills for just learning the camera. Keep it up bro.
