I recently lost my best friend and some members requested I post a photo. As I just educated myself here is a photo of the Worlds Greatest Dog, my opinion only.

I miss you buddy!

Very sorry to hear of your loss. We've always had dogs. We lost two this past year - one was in the family for 16 years. They are missed.

Trailspike he is beautiful! My lab is my best friend as well and it would kill me to lose him. I believe without getting all religious on everyone that dogs are angels. They are sent to us for such a short time to protect and show you how to love and how to be devoted to someone. Many of us miss the lesson all together. What other animal or human is willing to lay down their life for you, be more devoted than humans are capable of and ask so little in return. Don't worry buddy I know for a fact that God has a place in heaven for dogs and you will see him again! In the meantime keep his memory alive with stories of his love, devotion and the fun you had together.

The worst pain in the world is to lose a dear friend, and there is no one more dear then one’s own fellow pup. My deepest sympathies.

He's beautiful! Was he a Australian Shepard mix? I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing him with us.
Sorry, I haven't figured out the quote thing yet.
Mick was a registered Aussie, Life isn't long enough or lucky enough to own two dogs like Mick. He truly was special.
He is also included in my avatar, he went everywhere with me, included on the ATV, I made him a padded seat/box secured behind me and he rode like a pro.

You must have had some fun adventures! He must have love the rides and had his tongue hanging out most of the time. Where was his favorite place to go? My dogs like to go hiking in the desert. There will never be another like him just as there will never be another you. He was one of a kind I'm sure.

Mick only had one favorite place, wherever I was at was where he wanted to be. The Avatar pic is from the Alpine Loop between Silverton and Lake City, Colorado. We both enjoyed many hikes above timberline.

It looks beautiful up there. My dogs freak out at the sight of snow. Baron won't even get out of the car and Martha acts like I'm taking her to the block. It's ok though because I don't like it much either.

Trailspike, he was a beautiful dog. His intelligence and devotion come through in the picture.
As a pet owner, I know how you feel.
We still talk about the dogs we had, even they are long gone.
