I'm trying to venture out into some different types of tobacco and I've picked up a couple of Virginia blends this weekend. Well I accidentally picked up a tin of Peterson's Sunset Breeze (I meant to grab another tin instead). This stuff has obviously been sitting the shelf for some time as it was covered in dust and I had a hell of a time opening the tin. This was the first time that an aro actually tasted like it smelled for me, the amaretto came through clearly but subtly. It was smooth and creamy, no bite (and because it was cold and tasted so good I probably rushed it) and just smoked like a charm, no dottle at all and dry throughout. For any aro smokers I highly recommend!

I agree with Sunset Breeze, not many have the same taste as smell. I get most taste when its still quite wet (don't use my nice pipes for smoking it!), did a trade with some that had dried out and didn't taste the same to me.

My absolute favorite aromatic tobacco! And I agree, it's unique in that even the smoker can smell the aroma of Sunset Breeze, and taste the Amaretto, especially in a P-lip pipe. It's as though the tobacco and the pipe are made for each other - a Peterson plot??

I did a little more digging and picked up 2 more tins at the shop I found it at, the date code on the tins is June 2008. So the aging of the tobacco is definitely working for this particular aro blend

I have thought about picking up a tin of Sunset Breeze. The amaretto sounds really good!
And thats a pretty old tin!! Neat to know it can handle some age.
