Peterson Tins

What is the value of Peterson Christmas tins (nearly full though dry) 2015 and 2016? The tins are in excellent condition although as I mentioned the tobacco inside is quite dry, an easily solved problem. If the value is worthwhile, I'm planning on putting them up for sale in the tobacco trading section. Thanks.

Sparrow, assuming your tins are 50g tins then their value would be slightly less than the current price as they are not full nor do they have any real age to them.
It might be best to sit on them (not literally!) for a few years and maybe, just maybe you might see an increase in value.

I've never found re-hydrated tobacco to be entirely satisfactory. I wouldn't hold out much hope of finding an eager buyer -- despite the scarcity. You might re-coup some of your expense however, since the tins themselves are collectible.

I've never found re-hydrated "aromatic" tobacco to be entirely satisfactory. I never try to rehydrate the non-aros, because bone dry is my fighting style. ::

And I've never had a problem re-hydrating English or Balkan blends- but they weren't dust to begin with.

Thanks, guys. The tins are attractive anyway, so it's no problem to hold onto them.

They are not as scarce, or at least over here. You can find the 2016 in many European websites.
