I've had one since the early 70s and still consider it one of my best smoking pipes. Mine is a smooth classic design (no pirate heads or dragons) and has developed that golden color meers are famous for. The absorbency of the clay also makes for a very dry smoke. I am hard pressed to come up with a single negative comment about this little old Pete. Happy smoking.

I happen to have one that is my only Peterson (so far) and I absolutely love it. It's an older one so I don't know how that applies to their meers of today but it seems like their quality is as good as it ever was. Mine is their 106 shape and has a huge bowl for a good long smoke that is always cool and dry unless I puff too fast. It's a great pipe and I'd say you have every reason to want one.

Thanks guys. 30 years worth of wear and tear took some elbow grease to come out.

Spent an hour with a toothbrush cleaning gunk out of the finish, but it turned out well.

I like seeing a good old pipe getting new life, and I think Marmal4de is going to love it.

I'll be posting a whole bunch of restored pipe for sale here in the next few days, but I always forget to take pics before the cleanup starts.
