Hi everyone,

I recently acquired a Peterson's Shannon XL02 pipe, and I’m trying to learn more about its history. The stamping reads "Peterson’s Shannon, Made in the Republic of Ireland, XL02", and it has a P-Lip stem with a metal band (not silver).

I couldn’t find much information on this specific stamping, so I’d appreciate any insights on when it might have been made and any other details about this line.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Because Shannon is in quotes it may have been made for and sold via the Shannon Airport per Pipedia, I've seen different stamping as well for the airport - so possibly that vs. the current Shannon series. Otherwise, not sure there is much more to know, assuming that is correct. PPN suggests "FOR SHANNON AIRPORT" if it's an airport pipe - I'd think that may be more reliable but not sure there isn't more than one answer.

Looks like a basic line, not much info out there.

This is what I’ve heard too.
