I remember in 1990 I was reading up on as much information as possible about different pipe manufactures. There was a lot of information about Peterson pipes and I didn't have any knowledge about any pipes at that time. But Peterson stood way out in the crowd.I can not quite remember every detail of what I learned, but I was certainly well convinced from that time on,that Peterson was going to be my only pipes I own. This has held true for 21 years and I am often reminded here and there why my decision was the best one for me still today.Of coarse I must admit that this is my view point for my own liking only.Everybody has there own favorite and that's what is nice about variety.

OK Chaps, I have always had to work on a policy of something goes out before something new arrives and I am very pleased to say that two pipes have now been sold and paid for, which leaves me with quite a nice balance in my Paypal account. I should add that the ones making room for others are not Petersons.LOL
So, what to do? I am watching something on ebay and would certainly like to have a go when the time gets nearer, but I suspect that bidding will take off in the final few minutes and would not be surprised to see this one exceed my funds, but we will see. Thanks to Jim introducing me to a couple of other sites, I doubt I'll struggle with finding something nice to join the rest of my Petes. There is an exquisite Silver Spigot 303 calling to me as well, but that would be pushing to the limits as "The Boss" has already suggested that there are a couple of items she would like to secure too. Sigh.LOL
So are you actively looking for anything at this moment? Or are you perhaps in the fortunate position that you can purchase as and when something catches the eye?
I'll keep you posted on progress.

All The Best

Rob

Robs, you can P.M. your intended acquisition and I'm sure all of us fellows should remain "hands off"

And maybe we can comment on the pipe...

In the spanish forum that I regularly visit this is our normal attitude.

I have two Petersons, one nearly 40 years old and the other less than a year. Both are great pipes, in appearance and practicality. They complement a suit but are tough enough to take out on the kayak. Love those Irishmen.
