I knew that Peterson clay pipes were not extremely common, but I just saw one sell for $75.67 over on ebay. I may have to put mine in the safe deposit box! 8O

Yikes!...I didn't know clay pipes could command prices like this....but perhaps it was smoked by George Washington?.... :?:

Yep Earl. I did some research and what little I could find said they made them during WWII and stopped some time in the fifties or sixties. Sort of a wide range there!

I'm more interested in their meers, but they are also very expensive.

  • They made them in the Patent era too. I have a 1965 copy of Peterson's catalogue that shows them as still available.
