Thank you BigDude for this well written experience with your Dracula Pipe. A few things....
1) This is a very cool pipe. I too love the blood red stem and the matte black bowl. The tiny bats on the silver band is a great detail since everyone knows Vampires can't deal with Silver. Or maybe its just a silver cross. I need to ask my Vampire friends.
2) For those of you who have not read Dracula from Bram Stoker, its an excellent read. It wasnt what I thought it was before I picked it up. Quite a nice love story!
3) I recently acquired some Nosferatu Tobacco from Tewksbury, the makers of my favorite tobacco, Hobbits Weeds. Would be cool so some some of that stuff in this pipe
4) I couldn't resist. Just ordered one from 4noggigs.com.

Glad you enjoyed the review guys. An injury has forced me too look at my career options and a writer was always what I wanted to be as a kiddie, but dreams get crushed out of you.
I think I fell on my feet with the solid red stem. Peterson were quite keen to get it changed.
@zonomo I think everyone who has ever read Dracula is surprised how it reads as it's pretty darn far from any of the films. Lots of artistic license used.

What sort of blend is this "Nosferatu"?

Great looking pipe! I also like the bright red stem--you may have a collector's piece! Also nice to hear about your positive experience with Peterson customer service.

Pipefish, I would say the blood red is not particularly well oxygenated as it's deeper rather than bright.
I pulled my finger out and googled "Nosferatu" tobacco, from the description it sounds reasonable right up until the mention of anise.

A huge shame considering the link between the pipe and the tobacco.

Might just have to source a can just for the photo opportunities.

I don't think you will be able to source a can. Being A house blend it is only sold in bulk as far as I know. At least that is the only way they offer it for sale on their site.
Nice pipe too...I did read the review :)

I have been thinking about getting a (999) myself if I can ever find a sandblasted model with a stem withe the "right" stem for me.
