See Mark Irwin's blog update about the new Rogha Natural Virgin Briars line, released by Sansone. The blasts are outstanding, at least from these photos.

I've been wondering if Peterson would get on the unfinished briar bandwagon. I'm hoping I'll be able to get my hands on one of these.

Attractively blasted for sure. I noticed that Peterson did a pipe like that about a year ago for the facebook group Pipes Smokers of Ireland. Wonder if smooth unfinished pipes color differently than rougher finishes. I have an unfinished smooth Shamrock bought years ago which has colored very nicely to a uniform dark brown. But looking at that picture on Mark's blog of the natural heavily smoked Castello, see that the color is not uniform and it is a rusticated 1. Will say that I don't think I'd like a natural that didn't color uniformly.

The 80s I just looked at had silver/polishing compound all over the briar near the band. :(
