Peterson’s Dublin & London Made in Ireland 999

Here’s a pipe I picked up. Clean up was easy so I’ll just use a photo by the seller. The bird’s eye is insane. The spine is straight grain, hence the bird’s eye on the sides.

The stem doesn’t have a “P” but the stem does have the original bone chimney.

The left side reads Peterson’s over Dublin & London.

The right side reads Made in over Ireland as well as 999

That's an awesome 999. Definitely better than current shape. Love that chunky stem!!!

Hmmm. Leave off the bead line and that's a ball shape. I've never seen anything quite like it. Amazing birdseye for sure.

Another miss, great shape and cool to have the bone chimney. Be super careful removing that if you ever feel the need for cleaning, etc.

While I absolutely love straight billiards and such, I can smoke a bent with two features. 1. A PLip 2. Or a button worth a damn.

I have learned through trial and much error exactly what I’m looking for. Much error.

1915 - 1922
The made in Ireland straight line stamp was used in the 1915-1922 period and also 1947-49 but the photograph also show the early forked P in Peterson ,so I go for the earlier dates
I have a hallmarked 1922 pipe with the made in Ireland stamp and forked P that looks similar
