Hi all, just thought I'd share my experience with Peter Stokkebye Optimum. I'm very new to pipes and don't have a nice, high-end pipe so take everything here with a grain of salt. I'm not much for aromatics, but I do like to keep one on hand for those rare moments. Let me say that after trying Optimum, those moments may not be so rare. I purchased 2 oz. bulk from my local shop based on the lovely smell. I got home and lit up expecting the usual syrupy overly-sweet aro taste...... Nope! The sweetness is there, but not overpowering. There were flavors of citrus, baked goods, and spice. The flavor stayed consistent throughout the bowl, mellowing a bit in the middle and growing a little more towards the smoky spice taste at the end. My wife LOVED the room note too. This is the smell I remember my uncle's and grandpa's pipes smelling like. For sure my new go-to aro.
