I picked some of the low, yellowed leaves from the bottom of a few tobacco plants grown in the back yard in buckets. I hung them in the garage up high so we wouldn't bump them. After they dried a week or two, I cut up everything--stems and all. Smoked them. I got a strong but pleasant pepper flavor on the retrohale, sort of like I get with some cigars. Tasted okay, I'm not good with flavor descriptions but it reminded me of burley (I didn't keep track of which kind of tobacco it was LOL--I didn't much care--just curious about the whole experience). I'm looking forward to some of the bigger leaves up higher as the plants grow more.

Thank you, yes--you are quite right! I forgot about that :)

I like Perique and all the Red Virginia's I've tried, but sadly--when I smoke them, the taste buds on my tongue swell up and sting! Happily, that didn't happen with this smoke.

Thanks again for "chiming in."
Happy smoking!

You're very welcome Mike.
Sorry to learn that your tongue swells up when you smoke Perique & Red Virginias, that's too bad buddy.
Not to rub it in, but I'll be partaking of said blend later.
Happy smoking too.
Cliff.
