I picked some of the low, yellowed leaves from the bottom of a few tobacco plants grown in the back yard in buckets. I hung them in the garage up high so we wouldn't bump them. After they dried a week or two, I cut up everything--stems and all. Smoked them. I got a strong but pleasant pepper flavor on the retrohale, sort of like I get with some cigars. Tasted okay, I'm not good with flavor descriptions but it reminded me of burley (I didn't keep track of which kind of tobacco it was LOL--I didn't much care--just curious about the whole experience). I'm looking forward to some of the bigger leaves up higher as the plants grow more.
