I'm checking my ego at the door, again, and asking another FNG question.
How do you smoke this stuff?
I have four ounces in my possession and lit up a bowl the other night. After drawing heavily for several minutes -and tasting some wonderment - I thought, "This is probably some of that stuff that needs to be rolled."
Problem is, I don't know how to do that.
Teach me, guys. Please?

Flake style tobacco needs to be rubbed out....put about how much you think you need in palm of hand and gently rub other palm....it breaks into long slivers kinda....fold those up and jam into bowl but don't pack it down...light and enjoy.

Isn't penzance pretty much a crumble tobacco?

It should break down real easily.

It's a crumble cake. It breaks up fairly easily.

Slow down, too. You don't have to puff this stuff like a train.

Break it up, and I personally let it dry for a couple hours.

It can be rubbed in your palms as suggested above and I just put a sheet of paper down to catch all the pieces as they fall from your hands. You should end up with very small pieces that are smaller than conventional pipe tobacco,,with no need to fold pieces. You need to slowly sip the pipe so that it should last about an hour with a normal sized bowl.

Congrats bigmike... and 100% on Penzance. I have just shy of 4pounds cellared. (I never mentioned

it before because I was afraid I'd have to shoot at hobie when he broke in).

Rubbing it between your palms onto a sheet of paper below, then allowing it to lay there for 2 hours should be proper preparation for your evening smoke.

I may have to try to aquire some of this baccy it sounds pretty interesting and I have seen people talk about it on here for a while now.I guess since I have been trying every tobacco I can here lately I should give this a try.If I can find it lol.

There is just something about Pezance. Not just another English mixture. It strikes a balance between deep smokey, lightly earthy, a touch of peat and a lingering sweet spice that, to me, makes the whole thing reminiscent of incense smoke. I find it best when crumbled and allowed to dry for quite a while, and smoked very slowly. When it burns hot and wet it is very underwhelming.

Just got Penzance for the first time and I love it! It's probably one of the best English blends I've tried yet. Not too strong but oh so good.
