Tonight's featured guest interview is with Paul Creasy. Paul is the President of The Sutliff Tobacco Co. He has been in the industry for more than three decades, has an amazing knowledge of the business, and is an expert on the tobacco legislative front. Paul will give us the latest news in this area, which has some scary possibilities that he is fighting against.

Great interview. I really enjoyed the comparison of the FDA to a pack of wolves.

The warning label thing sounds like a complete disaster!

No new products sounds even worse!
What can we do as pipe smokers to help?
The RYO/MYO thing is annoying. Frankly, I want to help stand with with these people. Yes, some of them are RYO simply to save money (mainly MYO). However, a good number of the RYO people I've met share a lot in common with pipe smokers. RYO involves selecting the smoking instrument (papers), deciding on a blend (there is a good amount of diversity in RYO blends), the ritual and skill of actually rolling, and then finally smoking.
Most of these people will tell you that they smoke much less now that they RYO, and that they enjoy it more. The easiest solution to the problem would simply be to tax rolling papers or maybe the MYO & RYO machines. You don't need rolling papers for pipe tobacco.
