Other than the information online about Parker, rhetorically speaking of, is there really anything else here mysterious going. I thought it was pretty simple, Alfred’s seconds, that weren’t good enough to be called Dunhills, but are actually suppose to smoke as nice.
But really, at auction now, bidded at $300, ouch, I would of thought you could buy a pipe like this for a $150![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)

PARKER UNSMOKED 1935 PATENT 116989/17 SUPER BRIAR BARK SHAPE 12 ESTATE PIPE | eBay
Condition: Unsmoked! It is truly hard to wrap my head around how a pipe like this has gone 87 years without being smoked! The bowl shows just a hint of forward cant and leans away from the sturdy round shank that is flat on the bottom making for a nice setter.
