I'm stopping by the Park Lane Tobacconist tomorrow morning while traveling in NY. I'd like to try a few of their tobaccos and am open to suggestions. On my short list:

- PL11-010 (Heavy Lat)

- Fireside (Burley Blend)

- Lane Limited 1Q (Lawrence recommended)
Right now my primary tobacco's are all Boswell blends and I seem to prefer mild English blends and Burley:

- Magnum

- Premium Burley

- Mild English

I also enjoy Solani Aged Burley flake
I love Penzance, but I see Park Lane is out. Do they have a similar house blend?

Don't know about Park Lane, however a great similar Penzance blend can be had from Jack Peterson at Sterling Tobacco Co. Just request some American Patriot. You'll be glad you did.

Right now, shipping tobacco into MD is against the law. So, unfortunately that rules out Sterling products. I've communicated with him and he has no store front. Too bad as I also work in his area near Philly. Hopefully they are changing that law in session this month.

Fortunately I travel near all the well known East coast shops. This is my first visit to Park Lane.

I've not visited them but did order a half pound of Lane's Crown Achievement from them a while back, you may want to sample that one. Incredible customer service and delivery. Have fun up there.

I can second baskerville's recommendation on Red Paramour and Connoisseurs Flake. Red Paramour or Red Crack as some of us on another forum refer to it as due to its addictive nature is one of my favorite blends. Dominion and Black Forest are two I will be ordering soon. Knightsbridge and Old Church are two I've heard nothing but good things about. You may also want to check out a very taste blend by the name of Pipe Club Mixture. Oh I almost forgot Fireside, which happens to be my go to burley blend.
Now I’m no expert, but for my money and with all due respect to Just For Him, Boswell, and LJ Peretti, I haven’t found a B&M out there that creates a better VaPer or English blend than Park-Lane. :puffy:

I stopped by this evening, but it had to be a brief visit as it was near their closing time. I didn't much care for the 1Q that was recommended by bought 4 oz of Fireside, which is a nicely spiced Burley. This place is only 7 miles from the hotel I stay at in Albany, so I'll definitely be back.

A very nice shop, the manager was very friendly and helpful. Only downside is they were all packed up for the Richmond show, so most of the pipes were out of the cases, including all the in-house (Bonaxxx?) pipes. I'll shoot up next month with a little more time to look around. A very well stocked shop indeed. He even had some 2 oz Penzance tins that just came in. A little pricey on them, $17.

You’re absolutely right Oldmaus… Russ has created some great blends and I’m currently smoking two of his VaPers myself. Shame on me I tend to think of the Hearth & Home brand in the same light as C&D, PS and such, rather than a B&M blend.
No matter what I say now I'm going to be wrong... so I'm just going to fade away quietly for now... :)
