Yeah, every now and again, a more traditional pipe bites me. I love a well executed dublin!

Don't own a Tim West but have often admired his work. Handsome pipe at a good price,

and though traditional, not stogey nor unimaginative. He does something unique with the

shape.

@cosmicfolklore I have a Kriswill acorn. That stack should smoke like a champ! As for the West, it sort of struck me the way Savinelli's 904 does. Add that domed, or waved top on the bowl, and it just sings!

Thank you very much for the purchases today, chasingembers and cosmicfolklore. And congratulations to to you both for picking up a couple of the nicer offerings I had on my eBay site that ended today. You can't go wrong with a Tim West and I actually had a long-time friend in my shop last week who is a Kriswill collector. He said that shape was not often made and he really liked it a lot. However, since he had seen the pipe in person he could not bid on it (unfair advantage), and I don't think he'll ever visit me again. LOL!
Thanks again Gentlemen,
Pipestud

And Nate, thank you for your business, too!
I absolutely loved that Rad Davis pipe. Although the bowl is large and thick, it is made in such a way that the feel is feather light. And the stem looks like it will be extremely comfortable. Hope it gives you many years of smoking enjoyment.

@iamn8 That Davis is gorgeous. Take extra care of the stem. My cumberlands though pretty, will often show oxidation sooner than my ebonites. I now leave a very thin layer of obsidian oil on them until I decide to smoke them, and problem solved!

Chasing members: thank you! And thank you for that advice! I've noticed this on a few of my Dunhills as wasn't sure what exactly to do so I'll try that! Much appreciated! Exactly the sorta advice that keeps me here.
PIPESTUD: thanks again! Very stoked now about this pipe!

That West does have an Italian/Savinelli flare! I've not owned one, but their owners seem very pleased. His pipes definitely fly under the radar on Ebay.
On Rad Davis Cumberland stems - Rad just use a high quality rod stock as the one Cumberland stemmed pipe I had from him never seemed to oxidize.

@iamn8 Very welcome! Always glad to help.
@ssjones Probably German ebonite. Never had a problem with the ones on my Weavers or an Abi Natur I had.
