Friends I am packing up the pipe. In fact I am packing up smoking. Various personal reasons and maybe not forever but certainly for the foreseeable future. I'll probably still have the occasional cigar here and there as the mood strikes.

My Falcon Pipe collection is for sale as a joblot on that awful auction site which I won't miss using. I couldn't bear to split them all up but I will if I have to. My remaining baccy is offered elsewhere on this great site.

Just wanted to say thank you to all the kind members who have engaged with, liked and added to my posts and threads. It's been an absolute pleasure.

Wishing you all the best. Are you able to share a link to your pipes?

Perhaps for you it’s gotta be an all or nothing thing, and I totally get that. The things I’ve been successful given up have been in the moment, cold turkey, throw it away and never look back kind of things.

That being said, thanks for letting us know because it’s helpful to me, and getting me think about why I enjoy this hobby. To me, the pipe has always had a spiritual dimension to it… I can just think better through a hard thought, but not necessarily better than a nice warm shower.

But recently I’ve been having two or three bowls a day instead of maybe two or three a week, being obsessed about the “drops”, preparing for tobacco’pocalypse 2025–not to be confused with 2024 and the 2023 extinction level events.

Good luck in your endeavors, and thanks again for posting.

Bob makes a good suggestion on keeping a few favorites. Absolute decisions often end up not being all that absolute with the passage of some time.
I suggest holding onto one or two favorites. I did the same thing years or decades ago. And I wish I had kept at least one more pipe then the one I couldn't get rid of.

What is prompting you to pack it up, out of curiosity?

I'll echo others here and say you should keep one or two, even just for memory's sake.

I've been leaning in that same direction.
?!?

Same question.
