Just had the 16' POD that's been in my yard picked up and moved to storage for a few days. I've moved maybe a dozen times in my life- this is by far the most stressful. Been packing tools and household stuff for 10 days- left most of the furniture behind for our vacation rental guests who arrive on Thursday. The only problem is the mortgage company still hasn't given us the final, final approval due to holiday delays...so we'll hang out in a hotel for a couple of days until we can set the closing...If all goes well, we'll be in the new place next Monday...We will party like rock-stars tonight....

If it works as it should, it will be worth it...instead of a tiny 1 car garage, I'll have almost 600' of shop space/man cave...The anxiety will go away after the final approval from the mortgage company on Thursday...I almost pulled the trigger today on an 80 gallon compressor, blast cabinet, diamond plate flooring, and butcher block countertops for the new shop, but decided to wait until everything is finalized...

We've lived in the same house for 37 years. There is no way I'm moving. When I die it becomes my son-in-laws problem. Good luck!

Nothing as stressful as moving Zack. Hope it all works out. Looking forward to seeing pix of the new shop/man cave.

Moving is not fun. Hang in there. Sounds like it will be worth it in the end.

Zack from the almighty Rad. 5hp, 2 phase which will have electrical issues you may want to get a head start on. You may be all over it though. Moving sucks good thing you're going locally. Moving back and forth to HI the return trip had our container raided and got a few bucks but nothing to cover what was lost in sentimental and one of a kind things.

I just moved back in April myself. That makes several times in the last few years. It's one of my least favorite things to do!
Congrats on the new place, but I don't envy the moving part at all!

I remember in undergraduate school, the Navy, and grad school, I'd move with nothing

but a suitcase or seabag, a portable typewriter and a coat. Not even students move

that way anymore. Didn't own a car until I was 27, or have a kitchen until I was 30.

Now there is enough stuff in our one house to furnish and fill three similar sized houses,

and none of it orderly. Moving is ... a moving experience.
