They flew off the shelves!
That’s a beautiful dog in your avatar. I’m with my new best friend now. He’s coming up on 4 months. Aussie Shepherd Lab mix.

Yeah. When I like a blend, I cellar deep. Lucky for me, there are very few blends that I like ?

Six put away to age and one I’m working through fresh in that smaller jar pictured. —- You don’t wanna see my Granger stash. ?

No need for a new thread since it's along the same lines. Is there any difference in aging with a jammed full vs. half full jar that you guys have seen?

I pack the jars pretty tight. Same for mylar bags. The way I look at it is plugs and flakes are pressed tight and age wonderfully, so wht not pack a jar full. I haven't heard yet where anyone is rubbing out flakes and plugs to get more air to them for aging. Now I don't press the tobacco in the jar too tight but firm. I may be wrong, but that's what I do.

Not that I have seen, nor is it likely that anyone has the patience, time and resources to actually test.

But the less oxygen, the sooner anaerobic aging begins!

I use this weird carved stick I bought from a local artist to compress tobacco in my jars. I used to use a flashlight. I've always stuffed as much as possible into them, with no problems at all, except for getting to the last couple ounces at the bottom of the jar which are just beyond the reach of my fingers and compressed into a hockey puck. I use a knife to break that up.

I've bought many tins of ribbon cut tobacco that were packed so tightly into the tin that they were effectively a plug, so I figure why not pack jars the same way?
