Baiting only works for a short time. Its great for after you fix any entrances and need to eliminate a few rodents.
Other than a good dog or cat, the best way ive found is to use live traps with no bait. Put the traps along walls and anywhere they travel. It may take some time, but eventually they will get trapped. It sounds silly I know, but it works for rodents that are bait alert.
