Hello everybody, I have decided to delve into the depths of the collective knowledge of everyone here. I smoke virginias, and my favorite is orlik golden sliced. What i love about it is that it is pretty sweet, but has a good tobacco taste, and has a little bit of a hay taste as well.
Can anyone recommend another virginia, that is easily accessible, that is similar, yet different. Yeah stupid i know, i just want to try something new, that ill like
Basically i would like a recomendation for a decent virginian that has a light sweet character. Thanks

You could try Esoterica Dunbar, It is a virginia with some perique, I think that it tastes pretty good, the perique will make it a little different but in a good way. :puffy:

For OGS fans, I highly recommend Fribourg & Treyer's Cut Virginia Plug because it is similar to OGS, but it has a darker flavor profile.

(It's also a lot more expensive, but hey, treat yourself now and then. :D )
I also happen to like Iwan Ries' Virginia Flake, which is an untoasted tobacco that comes in long slices like the cut found in Orlik's round tin -- except that IRC's presentation isn't smashed-up and folded -- it's packaged like a slab of sliced bacon. I've heard tell that it's probably made for IRC by Stokkebye's, but I don't know that for a fact. Anyhow, it's similar to OGS, but it's grassier and sharper (if you like that particular type of characteristic.)

Dunhill Flake - a little thicker cut than Orlik but I love this stuff. Grassy and sweet.

Hamborger Veermaster - a thin cut like Orlik that is very soft and sweet with that haylike essence.

Patriot Flake - again a thicker cut than Orlik with a flavor I've seen described as sorghum. I never had sorghum but I think I would like it if it tasted like this.
