Just curious as to which brand of pipes that you have found to have the most "open" draw.
I know my Castellos (Kino) have a nice open draw. My Ferndown is quite a bit tighter. My S. Bangs are all open except for one, which is noticeably tighter. Several other Danish pipes are pretty tight. I recently purchased a new Dave Neeb from Dave, and the draw is very open (which I find preferable).
In any event, trying to find out the "draw" of a pipe, especially when buying online is difficult.
I've been looking at some Shaabi pipes, Taipen and a few others...but unsure if they are fairly open or on the tight side.
Which pipes have you found, as a general rule, to be drilled fairly open?

The Rinaldo, Il Ceppo, and Ardors that I own have wonderfully open draws. Radice and L'Anatra are on a par with respect to the draw too.
If you can inquire online about a particular pipe, ask if the stem will pass the thick end of a tapered bristle pipe cleaner. That usually equates to a nice, relaxed draw.

Two higher-end pipes I have are noticeably open, a Ferndown and a Ser Jacopo. My low and mid-price Petes are somewhat open. Most filter pipes are noticeably open when the filter is removed, although a filter adaptor will close them very slighty. Non-filter MM cobs seem quite open to me. The only pipe I have that is a bit tight is a Ropp, but it is still a good smoker.

My Caminettos all have pretty daggone good draws. I finally got around to smoking my new Preben Holm today on a trip down to Charleston for shrimp & grits. I don't know if it's indicative of PH bowls generally**, but it had an aMAZingly easy draw, drilled at bottom dead center. I got a good hour & 20 minutes out of the bowl.
** -- OK, embers, go ahead. I know you, Jesse, mso, & Cos are just dying to say it; "Clearly you need to buy another two or three to test the theory!"
