I don't need a pipe. I have three in rotation with me, and another three somewhere in the Navy mail system waiting to get to me. But I was on P&C looking at pipes to recommend for some buddies to buy, and found many that I myself wouldn't mind procuring. But why would I buy another pipe or four when I have three already purchased waiting for me to tear them out of their box?
First, I've actually been admiring Stanwell Royal Danish pipes for a while, for their dark matte utilitarian charm and low cost (I really like the 405 bent Dublin Stanwell makes).
Then today I found Rossi pipes, which are the cheap and utilitarian version of Savinellis. I especially like the Rossi Napoli pipes for their simplicity. The 404 and 504 both appeal to me.
Lastly, I came across Royal Dutch Pipesand Hilson Vintage pipes, which appear to be on a pretty good sale right now.
I need to give up internet for a while or something, at least until my current order arrives. I have no need for any of the above when I have a Comoy pebble grain bulldog, an estate GOC St Claude bent dublin and an estate Custom Supreme straight bulldog still en route. Talk about PAD...
