So I'll start with this; First I NEVER use a dull knife. About 8yr ago I was chopping up some green onions and glancing at a fishing show on T.V, not really paying attention to the onions, I carved a 1/4", close to 3/16" at the thickest part, piece of flesh from the side of my left index finger. In all I cut a penny's diameter sized piece off meat from my left index finger including half of the nail right to the bone. About 3yr ago I was picking up a badly chipped Pyrex glass bowl, the rim broke off the bowl and carved out a triangle shaped chunk from the same spot the size of a dime. I know have (or at least I did) a nice bump of scar tissue there. Tonight while peeling potatoes with a nice sharp peeler I had JUST sharpened I cut off the little nub of scar tissue with the peeler! I guess I just have bad luck in the kitchen sometimes. Never cut myself processing game (knock on wood). I'd post a picture but I think it would get taken down lol

Hey, at least it was scar tissue that you whacked off and not virgin territory
True, but scar tissue and the skin around it and under it a very hard to remove lol. It sucks, but w/e. It's wrapped up with some poly and I should be good in a coupe wks. makes for weird packing using my middle finger lol.

Cut myself many times being an idiot

Went for stitches once. Hell they just used a fish hook. I have plenty of those. Always did it myself after that. Best one was with a PINK knife I had just bought for my wife. I said these things never come sharp, and I was wrong.

Ouch. I was using a dull knife last month and cut through my finger and half of my finger nail. I did eventually heal. Oh well, such is life I guess.

I nearly lost my ring finger a few years back after severing the artery at the first knuckle. nothing like hearing a emergency room doctor say "uh oh, we may have to amputate...luckily the other artery was intact and now I just have a nice scar.

Digging away at the brush head on our vacuum with a knife, and, of course slipped, gotcha!! Off to see a doctor for stitching. He was quite amusing, opened the cut to see if there was dirt in it, saying "Hello, How are you?" while opening and closing my wound like a mouth...probably the most fun getting stitches I've ever had.
