My wife bought me a MacQueen White Wizard pipe with stand & tamper for Christmas. It's supposed to be delivered today, but I doubt it. Nothing but good things to say about MacQueen. Stephanie McQueen was so very helpful and the most polite person I've ever dealt with. Of course my pipe was delayed because of a Canadian Postal Strike, but that was not the fault of MacQueen's. I'll definitely buy another of their pipes. Their customer service sold me.

Waiting for the Kettle to arrive.
Already have the Halfing, Wizard and Ranger. Received them about 2 weeks ago. Only smoked the Ranger up to now. Love it.

I haven't tried out a churchwarden, but the wizard looks amazing, and I might have to get me one next time I have some spare money

Love Churchwardens. Waiting for another one called the Kettle, from same Ontario company.

For this company, I got cherry. By the way received my Kettle pipe. 16” long. Smoke very well. Cool smoke.
I also have in my collection briars, clays, meershaum, and corn cobs.

I've been smoking my MacQueen Ashwood White Wizard churchwarden since receiving it on New Year's Eve and it smokes great. I highly recommend getting one. The only downside is that the ashwood tastes strange. It tends to dry out my mouth. I put a rubber softie bit on the end of the stem and problem solved.

I ordered one last monday! I went with a briar Wizard (or is it Wizard briar? :? :P ).
Waiting is the hardest part.
And yes, their customer service appears to be excellent: I E-mailed a pre-purchase enquiry and they responded on the same day with helpful input.
Thanks guys for bringing this national maker to my attention.

Been very interested in some of their offerings, especially love the look of some of the pipes they make that are based in Birch...Now I have made pipe bowls from Cherry, they smoke hotter, but no problem slowing down and enjoying myself for even longer. My concern is that a bowl made from Birch wouldn't make it too long. Plus I've read reviews on them at other places and I have learned in my life's experience that not all users of items purchased, use them and handle them the way they should BUT....I still worry about burn out on a pipe bowl made from Birch. That's the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger on this bad boy:

However, as cheap as these are, and IF they're made well enough to at least prevent burnout from normal use, I would even consider buying a bunch of these in different styles and hand-making myself a churchwarden rack to hold these bad boys. I just really love the way a lot of them look, I just don't want that to be only reason I pick some up. I want them to actually hold up and stand the test of time. I mean, I'll treat it like any other pipe I own, which is not with white gloves and they will be smoked, but not puffed on like a dragon, by any means.
Anyone have one made from Birch that could weigh in?
