Got the Luciano apple today and I am so rediculously pleased with everything about it. Looks beautiful, feels very very nice in the palm of the hand, feels great in the teeth, no coating in the bowl (big bonus for me). One thing wrong...I'm still sick with this wretched virus and I can't smoke! ! ! Oh the humanity. Waiting for a pipe, having the pipe live up to all of your expectations, and then having the rug ripped out from under your feet by a friggin virus...top of the food chain my ass! Can't wait for the christening smoke with this pipe.

Phil, I guess you have a strong motivation to get that virus to the curb. In the mean time, Just imagine what fine blend will be it's first smoke. Maybe that will whet your appetite till better days come. Congrats & Good luck.

I hope that your health returns quickly. For me, the only

drawback to getting Pipes in the mail is THE WAIT...

I had that same dilema about two weeks back when I ordered my stem for my cob. It sucks, but the extra motivation to get well should help.
Get well soon man, eat garlic and drink water.

Well, to put a positive spin on it, you get to look at how purty that pipe is as a virgin for a few days, before you get to smoke it. I had that virus last month, bummer it takes weeks to get over.

Yet one more reason I purchase my pipes locally. If I'm too sick to smoke my new acquisition, I'm too sick to visit the tobacconist. It so happens however, that I find myself with a post operative sore throat. It's a great time to get out the carnuba wax and polish the pipes until they shine like the treasures they are.

Pic of the pipe on it's maiden voyage. I feel healthy enough today to smoke and what a glorious smoke it is.
