Pipe smoking became a passion, so much so that I smoked throughout the study evening. I liked the smell of Cherry Blend. “What the heck is that smell?” my roommate barked one night as he closed my door. “I can hardly see you!”

“Yes, I do. And it helps me stay awake to study.” That’s it. I’ll get a pipe; my objective simply to stay alert during my study hours. Maybe I might even enjoy it, though enjoyment was not my goal.
This might explain why so many doctors smoke. (seriously it's one of the most smoky professions statistically speaking).

This is a perfect example of the problems people are having right now on the forum here.

Gee it’s only tobacco and a pipe, how hard can it be.

Well, like everything in life, there are exceptions to the rule where some people can certainly just grab some tobacco and a pipe as a new user, be on their way and enjoy.

I certainly don’t believe this to be true at all for the vast majority to fully appreciate and enjoy pipe smoking.

It certainly doesn’t take a degree, or a thick book to learn, but it does require a little knowledge, practice and patience to perfect The Art of Pipe Smoking!
