What is the oldest pipe you own?

Excellent topic. Be interesting to see what people have. My oldest is a Sommer Meer from France - between 1910-15. Came to me unsmoked with an ostrich leather case and a genuine amber stem. A great smoker too.

I have one from the 1850s that I smoke - its a meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with silver bands and an amber stem. There are pictures of it on the forum somewhere. I also have a lot of 1880s-1900s similar style London straws in meerschaum as well as my day to day meerschaums all made before 1914. Why break in a new meerschaum when someone from 100 years ago can do it for you!

I forgot to list my oldest. I have a WDC Milano that was made 1903-1919. Wish I could nail down the year a lil closer. It could be 111 years old. I'll take a pic if this post picks up steam. Nice one Number Six, unsmoked? Not if was mine pal.

Voorhees, I am glad you didn't see it - I've have a complete reversal on my feelings towards it! But if I do put it up for sale, I will be sure to let you know.

Nice collection condor. They are beautiful especially that middle photo where the pipe has colored to match the stem.

Sadly nothing real old, but this Linkman's Dr. Grabow is probably the oldest pipe I have. A chubby billiard stamped: Deluxe Bryure, #9734, with a pat. number. I believe that puts it in the mid 1930s. I've gotten used to the goofy stinger and enjoy smoking it quite often.

@voorhees you are looking at 2 years of intense Condor smoking to get it that color. These days I only smoke that pipe once every few weeks as the bowl is just too big for my tastes. I have very set tastes in pipes and tobacco and neither are likely to change. Thank you for your kind comments.

Since I haven't gotten into estate pipes, my oldest is my first pipe, what I like to call a one-owner estate pipe,

a Tinder Box St. Ives bent smooth pot with a saddle stem, from about 1978, maybe a year older. I think it

is a French pipe, perhaps a Chacom, made as a house pipe for Tinder Box. It still smokes perfectly, and

is still one of the most stylish pipes I own, which for a pot is saying a lot.

Great looking Linkman agnostic! I think something that is still in use from 1930 is pretty old, especially considering things made now days only last as long as it takes to pay them off.

Mine is a Wilke bent apple I bought new about 1958. It is my best smoker, too.
