Picked up an old pipe tobacco tin today so that I can carry my baccy in something that doesn't have a garish health warning plastered over half the tin - any of you old codgers ever smoked this blend before?

Not one I've personally met; like many others was probably rare by the time I started smoking 50 years ago. At one time, there was a fabulous little tobacconists and newsagent next to Beckenham Junction station - I was on a short course nearby for a few days in 1973 and bought rare cigarettes there every day (Passing Clouds cigs, I remember, and others), I bet they'd have had a tin or two.
