Sorry all, I have no pic of the pipe in question.

Old guy down the road, has an Old Port, made in Canada pipe. It is of a bent bulldog style with a good sized bowl. It is in decent shape and I could prob. get it for a few bucks. I have searched the net and the best I can come up with is Old Port tobacco. There is a Canadian Co. in Vancouver, Canada but no mention of pipes, only tobacco.
Can anyone find a link or info on an Old Port Pipe?

Much appreciated.

The best I could find was an eBay listing for an Old Port pipe, but it says Italy...

I'm pretty good usually with Google, Yahoo, etc... but this one has been a bit challenging. You already found the tobacco and I found a candy company that does seem to have something called "Licorice Pipes"

I'm sure that's not what you're looking for
And another one on eBay

The only other reference that may be note worthy is an article about Brigham that indicates that they were made for a short while with an experimental tube ? But it's really just a two line reference, so very little to go by
A non-filtered pipe appeared during this area which was stamped "OLD PORT"..These pipes featured an experimental aluminum tube which was small enough in diameter to regulate air flow.
Here's the link to that article:

Good luck man... This is about as far as I can take it for now. If I have some more time, I'll dig some more

Thanks for the link Mick. I am fairly certain now that the Old Port is indeed one of the Brigham experimental pipes from yrs ago. May be a cool pipe to pick up and add to the Brig. collection. I have never seen one before or maybe just didn't know what it was if I did.

nsfisher it has taken me a while but I just got confirmation that in fact Old Port was a contract Brigham took on back in the late 60's as a voucher pipe when you bought a tin of old port pipe tobacco. Much like the Grabow colour pipes. They only made them for two years so as a collectable pipe it might be worth having in your collection. Good luck sorry this is late but it took a bit of research with my Brigham contacts to get this.

Just saw the update on this old thread. Now I can't remember where I seen the Old Port Pipe. Guess I should have picked it up when I had the chance. Thanks for the replies.
