Old Pipe Rack with Humidor

Found this old pipe rack in an antique store in Louisa KY.
It cleaned up nicely. Has the initials AGK.
I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about this or who it belonged to?

Yes it belonged to Alfred George Klondike.

I had that model long ago. The humidor is useless for keeping tobacco fresh for very long. Nice looking piece, though, and it will hold six pipes.

Klondikes wife gave it to him for 40th wedding anniversary gift. It was purchased from Sears and cost $8.75 with $1.09 shipping arriving at the freight depot in Chicago at 8 AM May 15, 1928. Anything else you would like to know?

I don't think that we have ever been asked who a humidor belonged to before it got passed on??

Be super careful with those when closing the lid. They like to grab your stems and break them. Cool find!
