And friday is the 13th,Halloween is right around the corner (I have a Halloween party on the 13th) any costume ideas, pipe related (not the usual stuff) also what do you do this time of the year, and what horror movies do you like.. right now Halloween and scream is what I am watching....jaws is another classic

I remember in the mid to late 80's captain America he always smoked a cigar on the usa channel (when it was new) and he played old horror movies vampires, zombies and werewolves. I loved it even though I had many sleepless nights in my youth.lol

Samhain (SHA-win) marked the end of summer for the Celts. Costumes and fires helped mark the day. So, Halloween is yet another Irish holiday I used to honor when I was younger, lots of candies passed out and few goblins in the yard. No youngsters in my current neighborhood so any celebration will be subdued, simply a salute to the dead with a bit of Graham's 20.

Two of my favorite horror movies are Phantasm (the original) and The Abominable Dr. Phibes:

LOTS of littles in my neighborhood. I leave a giant bucket of candy on the front porch with spot lights on it and creepy music playing. Then I take my three kiddos out trick or treating. We stop by the house a few times to refill the bucket.
