This is probably a stupid question but here it goes. Does anyone also get a sort of Barnyard smell from OJK thathad been jarred? I've never really noticed but the wife said that's what she smells and after taking a deep noseful I have to agree. The smell opening the tin is different . FLAME AWAY.

My mainstay is Haunted Bookshop. However, I just recently ordered a tin of OJK to try for the first time. Looking forward to the “barnyard” aroma. 👍☕

I love OJK original. A while back someone on here mentioned that it has a light topping...something like maple walnut I think. It's not "officially" listed anywhere that I've seen, but kind of makes sense to me...seems to be some element like that.

If you put it in a jar for a few months—or even just a few weeks—the barnyard notes can quiet down a good bit. I believe it is not just the perique but the perique doing its thing on the burleys in it. C&d is good but they don’t let some of their blends marry long enough
